The Infants’ Home is pleased to release this report following the conclusion of research into postnatal service delivery models for new mothers experiencing social isolation or vulnerability.
This project was co-funded by The United Way Sydney, The Infant’s Home, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies (ACWA).
Launched at our 139th Annual General Meeting, this report explores the effectiveness of a nurse home visiting program and also identifies the advanced skills in communication, assessment, clinical and community development skills required by professionals to attune and respond to the needs of isolated new mothers within an early intervention service framework.
