Parents, grandparents and carers of children aged 0 to 6 years are all welcome at the Red Bug playgroup, a partnership between The Infants’ Home and Ashfield Council.
The playgroup is also an informal point of contact for families to many Ashfield Council services, such as library story time.

At each session, The Infants’ Home provides books, toys, art and craft equipment, puzzles, games and activities appropriate for all children at various stages of development.
We also offer information on health, wellbeing and children's services.
Staff from various community services visit the group once a month to run story time and replenish the supply of books, so there is always new material for the children.
Since Red Bug is an outdoors activity, it is not held during rain or extreme heat.
