All children enrolled at The Infants’ Home can access the GP clinic every Wednesday afternoon.
Our GP clinic is organised by The Infants' Home resident Health and Early Childhood Consultant nurse, Meryl Burn. The service is conducted by Dr Eleanor Brumby and is covered by Medicare.
The clinic is designed to provide easy access to immunisations, eyes tests, referrals and consultations without replacing the need for a family GP.
Providing access to a doctor on a regular basis is reassuring for parents and is an important part of the care offered by The Infants' Home.
Meryl Burn provides support to families with specific health concerns about their children. She can also advocate on behalf of parents or carers who have difficulty accessing appropriate health services, such as hearing tests.
