Term 1 2024 Playgroups are Back!
The benefits of attending our playgroups
Families and children attending our playgroups benefit from access to:
- A free play-based early learning program developed by a qualified early childhood Educator.
- Resources such as books, toys and creative materials while at playgroup.
- Professional advice and information regarding children’s learning, development, health and wellbeing
- Opportunities to connect with other children and families, and to learn about other services and resources in the community.
There is no need to register for our playgroups, please just come along on the day. For updates regarding playgroup cancellations or change of venue, please check our Facebook and Instagram social media pages (@theinfantshome). Please note, playgroups do not run during the school holidays or on public holidays.
Red Bug Playgroup
Mondays 10:00am–12:00pm, from 5 February
Ashfield Park, near the playground (weather permitting)
The Infants' Home, 17 Henry Street, Ashfield (in wet weather)
This playgroup is for children aged from 0 to 5 years and their parents or carers.
This playgroup is kindly supported by Inner West Council.
Baby Time Playgroup
Tuesdays 10:30am–12:00pm, from 6 February
The Infants' Home, 17 Henry Street, Ashfield
This playgroup is for children aged from 0 to 12 months and their parents or carers.
This playgroup is kindly supported by the James N Kirby Foundation.
Pathways Playgroup
Thursdays 10:30am–12:00pm, from 1 February
The Infants' Home, 17 Henry Street, Ashfield
This playgroup is for children who are not currently attending formal early childhood education and care, such as long day care, preschool or family day care.
This playgroup is kindly supported by the NSW Department of Education & Communities, under the Early Childhood Education and Care Grants Program.
Fathers' and Male Carers' Playgroup
Every second Saturday 9:00am–11:00am, from 3 February
The Infants' Home, 17 Henry Street, Ashfield
This playgroup is for children from aged from 0 to 5 years, and their fathers or male carers.
This playgroup is kindly supported by the Holman Barnes Group.
