GP clinic

All children enrolled at The Infants’ Home can access the GP clinic every Wednesday afternoon.

Our GP clinic is organised by The Infants' Home resident Health and Early Childhood Consultant nurse, Meryl Burn. The service is conducted by Dr Eleanor Brumby and is covered by Medicare.

The clinic is designed to provide easy access to immunisations, eyes tests, referrals and consultations without replacing the need for a family GP.

How to book a consultation

Providing access to a doctor on a regular basis is reassuring for parents and is an important part of the support offered by The Infants' Home.

The Health and Early Childhood Consultant nurse also provides support to families with specific health concerns about their children and, at times, advocates on behalf of parents or caregivers who have difficulty accessing appropriate health services, such as hearing tests.

Parents who have children attending The Infants' Home can make bookings to see a GP through Meryl Burn on 8719-5011.
