On Saturday July 4 Westfield Burwood hosted their annual GiveAbility Day. This year funds were raised in support of our services for children with additional needs.

A range of activities including face painting, balloon twisting, raffles, a sausage sizzle and lucky dip helped to raise a total of $5,009.70 on the day. Westfield will match this dollar for dollar, bringing the total funds raised for The Infants’ Home to $10,019.40. This will go toward fitting out our new kitchen to strengthen our nutrition education programs and help us better cater to children with complex nutritional needs.

“We are very grateful for Westfield Burwood’s support to help us provide vital education, intervention and health services for children and their families, especially for those who are living in vulnerable or disadvantaged circumstances,” says The Infants’ Home’s CEO Anita Kumar.
A fantastic team of volunteers from Westfield Burwood and The Infants’ Home helped run the activities, with many retailers joining in by providing goodies to help raise funds, including fresh food hampers for the raffle, cake pops, chocolate gozleme and more!
Thank you to Westfield Burwood for choosing us to be their charity partner for GiveAbility Day 2015, and thank you to everyone who donated on the day. Your support will help us to continue our work to give ‘each child every opportunity’.
