The Infants’ Home Child & Family Services celebrated its 135th birthday at the annual ART SHOW on Saturday 2 May 2009.

» Mrs Gillian Hirstman, President, awarded the Australia Day Achievement Award

Australia Day was a particularly special day for The Infants’ Home, Ashfield, as its President, Mrs Gillian Hirstman, was presented with the an Australian Day Achievement Award by Ashfield Council for her significant contribution and achievements in the field of Children Services.

It was one of those beautiful afternoons in the gardens of an Inner West icon of community care The Infants’ Home, Ashfield that Anna and I had the honour of representing Council at the Annual General Meeting of the Home, established in 1874.
