The Infants’ Home actively encourages student practicum placements to support the training of new professionals.

School students:

School students who are looking to undertake work experience, community service or Duke of Edinburgh candidates will find that volunteering at The Infants’ Home offers a rich, diverse and rewarding experience.

TAFE students:

The Infants’ Home is a dynamic, ‘hands-on’ and rewarding place for TAFE students to complete work experience and practicum. The Infants’ Home is an ideal centre for students studying courses in childcare, community services or nursing.

University students:

University students seeking a dynamic, innovative, challenging and rewarding experience for placement or practicum are welcomed at The Infants’ Home. Students studying at both graduate and post-graduate levels in fields such as early childhood teaching, art therapy, nursing, speech therapy, social work and family work can seek a placement at The Infants’ Home.

Students can volunteer to assist in a range of areas.
